OUR COLLECTION
Thame Museum is probably a lot bigger than you think. In fact we have hundreds of objects spread over three rooms, with everything from Elizabethan wall paintings to a Civil War soldier's uniform.

ORAL HISTORY ARCHIVES
Thame Museum has an extensive database of oral history interviews. This programme has been running since May 2007 and documents the memories of over 40 people. The recordings come from people who have lived in the town for most of their lives. Sadly, several of these people have since died, but their memories can still be listened to and appreciated.

The recordings cover a range of local subjects, places and events. Many of the interviews have been edited and some 500 separate clips have been taken from the original recordings. Some of these have been placed on the two Audiopoint machines in the museum's main gallery and you can click on any of the clips in the Oral Histories box on the right.
