Another highly successful tea party was held in early November. Over 30 members attended and were entertained by three very interesting speakers– Jenny Dodds exhibited the newly acquired Neolithic mace head and explained the history behind it. Julia Bailey gave an update on the work of the metal detectorists and Carol Thompson gave a fascinating talk on the work of the Document Transcription group and how the transcription of bygone documents is helping us to learn more about the Thame area and its people.
Next event for Members and volunteers: The Christmas Social, Thursday 15th December 6.30pm-8.30pm. this will be a Bring and Share event - so please bring along a bottle and some food to share.
