How to be a 21st century gardener
What is the future of gardening in the Uk given the changes that we are seeing in our weather and climate. Gardeners are perhaps more aware of these changes than other groups in society.
This talk looks at the many ways that gardeners can reduce their impact on the World’s natural resources and at the same time help those plants whose habitat is evolving so fast.
“It is much more than global warming and using peat”
We are delighted to welcome back Tim Walker, former director of the University of Oxford Botanic Garden to give this talk. Many of you may remember his previous visit when he gave a very illuminating and amusing talk – Paradise Lost and Restored- 400 years of Garden Design through the lens of the Oxford Botanic Garden.
Since 2014 Tim has been a lecturer and tutor in plant biology at Somerville College Oxford.
