October Talk – Thursday 5th October at 7.30pm

Yesterday’s Childhood

A light hearted examination of how the concept of Childhood has changed over the years,   from the early 18th century to modern times.

The defining period of Childhood and Youth has varied over time. More recently Childhood has been segmented to span infancy, early teen age and late teen age, and marks the transition to Adulthood.

Using images of Toys, Games, Pastimes and Fashions, social and military historian,         Bill King, highlights how the Childhood period has been viewed over the years.

Can you remember your childhood and the artefacts that marked your own journey to adulthood?

A wonderful fascinating talk encouraging you to take a wander down memory lane.

To complement the talk, childhood artefacts from our own Collection will also be on display.

Thursday 5th October at 7.30pm,  Live and Online.
